Live fire exercise of GOMBR Tank Battalion

Members of the Tank Battalion of the Guards Armoured Mechanized Brigade of the Army ended on 16 May 2012 two-day live fire exercise at the military installation “Eugen Kvaternik” near Slunj.

This is the main training event in 2012 for tank crews, carried out in “Tank in Attack” composition. Members of the battalion used M-84 tanks and used three types of weapons: 125 mm tank cannon, machine gun PKT 7.62 mm, and 12.7 mm NPV machine gun. Besides the experienced members of the battalion, young soldiers and officers also took part in the live exercise for the first time.
