Fiazabad water tower handed over to Afghans
Water tower, which building and equipping was financed by the Republic of Croatia, was handed over these days to local Afghans citizens for use at a ceremony in Fiazabad, near Mazar-e-Shariff in Afghanistan.
On behalf of the Croatian Armed Forces, the water tower was handed over to Fiazabad citizens by Colonel Veingartner, Officer for Civil-Military Relations (CIMIC) in the Regional Command North. This is one of the successful projects of civil-military cooperation in this area. In the past three years in this project was invested about forty thousand kunas. Chief of the Fiazabad Village (Malik) Yar Muhammad thanked the Republic of Croatia on this valuable donation, as well as on the overall support and understanding. This water tower will greatly contribute to living conditions in the village. He also thanked the members of the HRVCON Task Force who with their patrols and presence in this region greatly contribute to the security of this area.
