CAF helicopter transported patient from Vis

CAF helicopters from Helicopter Squadron (ETH) of the 93rd Air Force Base over the past extended weekend, 6 to 8 October 2012, were engaged in emergency care of five patients.

One MI-8 MTV helicopter on Saturday, October 6, performed emergency flight around midnight, transporting one patient from Vis to Split Clinical Hospital. On Sunday CAF helicopters were also engaged in transporting one patient from Vis and a newborn baby from Dubrovnik Hospital to Split Clinical Hospital. On Monday, October 8, CAF helicopter conducted rapid intervention and transported an injured hiker from the Velebit Mountain, and another patient from Šolta.

Air Force and Air Defence crews’ engagement was conducted upon the requests of 112 centres Split, Dubrovnik and Zadar.
