Minister of Defence and CHOD visit GOMBR

Minister of Defence, Ante Kotromanović and Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Drago Lovrić visited today, Wednesday, 24 October 2012, Guard armoured mechanized brigade (GOMBR) of the Croatian Army in the “Bosut” Barracks in Vinkovci. The distinguished senior officials where welcomed by the GOMBR Commander, Colonel Siniša Jurković and Deputy Army Commander Brigadier General Mladen Fuzul.

After the inspection of the lined-up unit in front of the GOMBR Command, Minister Kotromanović and General Lovrić toured the grounds and facilities in the barracks, met with working and training activities carried out in the unit, followed by the working meeting with members of staff and GOMBR battalions’ commanders.

Minister Kotromanović wrote the following in the GOMBR guestbook: “As a former member of the Guards Brigade, I am extremely happy that I could talk to the honourable members of our glorious Brigade (…) I want this unit to continue to be one of the best, to the glory of its previous brigades from the Homeland War. “
