Joint Consultations with NATO team on future targets
The Joint Consultations between the NATO Defence Planning Team and Croatian representatives, during which they discussed the capability targets that Croatia should develop in the next NATO planning cycle, were held on 23 and 24 October 2012, at the Croatian Military Academy “Petar Zrinski”.
The consultation was attended by the representatives of NATO institutions and the headquarters, and employees of the Ministry of Defence, General Staff, members of the Croatian Armed Forces and employees from other Government departments who have been involved in the development of NATO capability targets.
Domestic and NATO experts during the two days consultations carried out a detailed analysis of the different capability areas and their possible development.
The activity was conducted within the regular NATO planning cycle and was aimed to clarify the targets that in the forthcoming long term period would represent Croatian contribution to the overall development of the NATO capabilities. The meeting ended with defining attitudes in all areas and on specific targets that will be the basis for further consultations at a higher level within NATO bodies on the Croatian contribution to NATO capabilities. The final package of capability targets for Croatia is expected in spring 2013.
