Military Court lay judges sworn in

One judge and 35 lay judges of the Military Court sworn in today, 30 October 2012, at the Croatian Military Academy “Petar Zrinski”.

The signed text of the oath, by which they have committed themselves, abiding by the Constitution and laws, to make their full contribution to the development of the Croatian Armed Forces and to strengthening military discipline, were presented to them by the Assistant Defence Minister Sunčana Vukelić and representative of the Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Slavko Barić.

Congratulating them General Barić said that their duty was important for the overall functioning of the CAF.

“You are required to perform your duties honourably, honestly, responsibly and fairly”, Vukelić said and noted that the role of the Military Court was to enable the functioning of the military system that relies on military discipline. “You are here to protect the military system”, she concluded.

On behalf of the judge and lay judges, Brigadier General Slaven Zdilar thanked for the given trust.
