“ŠTIT 2012” military exercise ended
This year’s military exercise “ŠTIT 2012” completed on Friday, November 9, by live fire exercise, shooting at targets in the airspace by light rocket systems “2M Arrow” and “Igla” at the “Cape Kamenjak” military training area near Pula.
The exercise was held for the eighteenth year in a row, and one of the main goals of this inter-service exercise of the Croatian Armed Forces was testing and assessing the degree of training of members of the Army Air Defence.
455 members from the Air Defence Regiment, GOMBR Air Defence Battalion, GMTBR Air Defence Battalion, Support Command, Air Force and Air Defence, Navy, Signal Regiment, NBC, Military Police, Logistics and Engineering regiments participated in the exercise.
Director of the “ŠTIT 2012” exercise was Colonel Blaž Beretin, and his deputy Colonel Dragomir Gović.
