10th anniversary of Support Command

“It is my great pleasure to be here today, marking the anniversary of the Support Command and I believe that you will in the future, as in the past, continue successfully to carry out your tasks”, the envoy of the President, Zlatko Gareljić said in his address while Chief of General Staff and the representative of the Defence Minister, Lieutenant General Drago Lovrić on behalf of all members of the Armed Forces thanked Support Command for everything they do every day for normal functioning and performance of all tasks in the country and in international operations. “Today is a great day, not only because of the Support Command anniversary, but also because today, the generals, Gotovina and Markač, were acquitted of all charges at the court in The Hague”, said at the end of his speech, General Lovrić.

In his remarks, Support Command Commander Major General Mate Ostović recalled the numerous challenging tasks and goals that this Command has been successfully and continuously filled during the past decade. “The NATO integration process of the CAF has been recently completed, and thus Support Command, fully reached the capability of the working in international environment and fully implemented the NATO logistics doctrine, policies, procedures and practices in its structure and operation”, general Ostović emphasized and thanked all who during the past decade supported, advised, contributed with their work to the Support Command to become what it was today.

The prominent members of the Command were given commendations and awards of the Minister of Defence, Chief of General Staff and of the President.
