On Wednesday, 22 November 2023, the delegation from the Ministry of Defence led by the Chief of the General Staff, Admiral Robert Hranj, participated in the regular 17th meeting of the Defence Contact Group for Ukraine, which was held via video conference.
US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin III opened the meeting by urging allies and partners in Ukraine to continue their support.
General Christopher Cavoli, Commander of EUCOM, and General Charles Q. Brown, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, delivered the most recent information regarding the situation in Ukraine.
The ministers of the participating countries and NATO and EU representatives gave updates on the latest donations to Ukraine and the material aid packages that are being prepared.
The countries within distinct coalitions reported on building Ukraine’s future force capabilities.
Based on the decisions of the Croatian Government, the Republic of Croatia has so far approved approximately 181 million euros in military aid to Ukraine.
