Course for aviation technicians completed
A six-month training course for aviation technicians for the first level of maintenance was completed on Friday, March 26 in the Zemunik Barracks in “Rudolf Perešin” Training Centre of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence.
Ten participants were given certificates of the successful completion of the course by the Deputy Commander of the AF and AD Training Centre Colonel Dragan Oljica, and the best students, private first class Mirko Rogulja, a member of the 93rd Air Force Base Zadar was commended by the Training Centre Commander, Colonel Pero Galic.
During the sixth-month training, participants adopted knowledge from general and specialist aviation technical field, learning about the aviation systems, engine, and the construction of basic school types of aircraft – ZLIN 242L, Pilatus PC9M, and the Bell 206B helicopter. After completing the course, students are referred to the six-month internship at the Croatian Air Force, where they will be trained for aviation technical maintenance of a specific type of aircraft and gain authorization to work independently on the aircraft.
This is the second course that was conducted by the new program, under which a total of 44 Croatian Air Force members gained competence for professional aviation technician.
