Graduation ceremony of cadets of the graduate and undergraduate study programmes at the University of Zagreb
A ceremonial graduation ceremony for cadets of the graduate and undergraduate study programmes of Military Engineering and Military Leadership and Management was held at the University of Zagreb, during which 97 cadets were promoted
Today, on 28 February 2025, the graduation ceremony of the 17th generation of graduate study programmes and the 16th, 17th and 18th generations of undergraduate study programmes of Military Engineering and Military Leadership and Management was held in the ceremonial hall of the University of Zagreb.
On this occasion, the Rector of the University of Zagreb, Prof. Dr. Sc. Stjepan Lakušić and the Commandant of the Dr. Franjo Tuđman Croatian Defence Academy Major General Slaven Zdilar Dr. Sc. congratulated all graduates and wished them a successful continuation of their careers.
A total of 97 cadets, 20 of whom were women, and among them 6 foreign participants – five cadets from Bosnia and Herzegovina and one cadet from the Republic of Kosovo, received their diplomas of the University of Zagreb.
Before the graduation ceremony began, the best cadet of the 16th generation, Ensign Antonija Buha, ceremoniously presented the transitional sword to the best cadet of the 17th generation, 2LT Nikola Prgomet, symbolically marking their exceptional successes.
30 cadets of the 17th generation successfully completed their graduate study programmes, of which 14 cadets completed the Military Engineering major course, and 16 cadets completed the Military Leadership and Management major course.
Also, 67 cadets completed their undergraduate study programmes, of which 24 cadets studied Military Engineering, and 43 cadets studied Military Leadership and Management.
The joint photo symbolically marked the end of one, but also the beginning of a new life path. 32 cadets will continue their education at the graduate study programme of Military Engineering and Military Leadership and Management, thus entering a new phase of their professional growth and development.
The cadets expressed great contentment and pride in receiving their university diplomas, considering it an important step in their professional careers and life paths.
