“I am satisfied with the defence cooperation between Croatia and Israel and believe that in the future, we will deepen it for our mutual benefit,” said Mr Banožić.
On Thursday, February 10, 2022, at the Ministry of Defence in Zagreb, Defence Minister Mario Banožić met with the Israeli Ambassador to Croatia, Ilan Mor.
During the meeting, the successful bilateral and defence cooperation between the two friendly countries were highlighted.
Minister Banožić underscored military-technical cooperation in support of equipping and modernizing the Croatian Armed Forces, participation in courses and conferences, and firefighting cooperation between the two countries.
“I am satisfied with the defence cooperation between the Republic of Croatia and the State of Israel. I believe that we will deepen it for our mutual benefit in years to come,” said the Minister, adding that the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Croatia have achieved dynamic cooperation with companies in the Israeli defence industry.
Israeli Ambassador Mor expressed his hope that in the future, the cooperation between the two countries and their defence industries would remain successful. Mr Mor thanked Minister Banožić and the Ministry of Defence for their support in organizing the first memorial march of the Israeli Defence Forces called “Operation Lightning of the Heavens” in the Republic of Croatia. Israeli paratroopers honoured their national heroine Hannah Szenes and marked her 100th birth anniversary.
