MoD exhibits at START Sport, Recreation and Fitness Fair

The Croatian Ministry of Defence took part at the START Sport, Recreation and Fitness Fair in Split (Sports Centre Gripe) from 22 – 24 February 2019.

 

The Ministry presented the university study programmes of the Croatian Defence Academy  “Dr. Franjo Tuđman” (HVU) – The Military Maritime Studies, Military Management and MIlitary Engineering. The members of the Personnel Management Division ,, the cadets of the Croatian Defence Academy and members of the Croatian Army and of the Croatian Navy also informed the interested visitors on the military pilot profession and with the programme of voluntary  military service. 

The stand personnel included  top athletes –  members of the reserve component of the Croatian Armed Forces (Zlatko Kumrić, Toni Kanaet and Tonći Stipanović) – who reiterated their pride over belonging to the Croatian Armed Forces: “I am proud to be a member of the Croatian Armed Forces and I hope to remain as reserve specialist, which would be of benefit for my career too”, said Toni Kanaet (taekwondo). 

The Sport, Recreation and Fitness Fair START was held as part of the Split Half-marathon, combining the passion for sport and healthy life styles. 

The Fair presented athletes and recreationists, sport equipment and nutrition manufacturers, clubs, firms and sport associations, and featured sport-related  workshops and conferences.
