The attendees of the 11st NATO and PfP NCO Camp held in Split on 3 September 2019 visited the barracks “Lt. Col. Mirko Vukušić” at Zemunik
Within the 11st Camp of NATO and PfP NCOs, held in the Barracks “ Fleet Admiral Sveto Letica-Barba“ in Split, NCOs from 11 participating countries on 3 September 2019 visited the Barracks “Lt.Col. Mirko Vukušić” at Zemunik.
The Camp attendees were welcomed by the Commander of the Croatian Air Force Training Command “Rudolf Perešin“ Colonel Goran Huljev, who briefed them on the role of the Training Centre in training of the air personnel, and underlined various training activities provided for other services of the Croatian Armed Forces.
Col Huljev also presented the Training Centre’s co-operation with the University of Zadar, the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering of the University of Zagreb and the Secondary Technical School in Zadar.
Col. Huljev praised the irreplaceable role of NCOs in armed forces and wished the visitors a successful and pleasant stay in Croatia.
Sergeant Major Nevena Ramić, Croatian Air Force Training Centre’s CSEL delivered a presentation on theactivities, the mission and tasks of the Centre.
The NATO and PfP NCO Camp attendees toured the Air Force command , the fixed-wing and rotary-wing squadrons and the Firefighter Squadron of the 93rd Air Base.
The Camp is a highly important NCO activity, and developed from the successful co-operation of NCO corps of their countries. It is attended mostly by senior NCOs with rich experience with leader or commander duties.
The NCOs also get an opportunity to learn about the Croatian culture and heritage.
The 11st NATO and PfP NCO Camp is led by Sergeant Major Goran Nimac Kalcina of the Croatian Navy.
The NATO and PfP NCO Camp is an opportunity to meet colleagues, share experiences, discuss the challenges encountered, to present one’s operation, to affirm and strengthen co-operation as well as to hone skills, competences and capabilities.
