Pvt. Vidmar best guardian angel of September 2019
Private Danko Vidmar has been proclaimed the MN FP COY’ s best guardian angel of September 2019.
A member of the 11th HRVCON to Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan, Private Danko Vidmar has been recognised as the best “guardian angel” in the Multinational Force Protection Group Task Force of September 2019.
Soldier Danko Vidmar has distinguished himself as a member of the B Platoon of the Multinational Force Protection Group Task Force by his work and initiative, motivation and readiness to volunteer in any task. The Platoon members nurture cohesion and enjoy respect from other members of the Contingent for the commitment and contribution essential for the advisory mission and security of the camps within the Train Advise and Assist Command – North – TAAC-N.
At the formal ceremony of the guardian angel in September the members of the 11th HRVCON were praised as professionals who performed their tasks professionally and responsibly.
The TAAC-N force protection platoon is the largest unit of the 11th HRVCON in NATO’s Resolute Support mission.

The primary task of the Croatian guardian angels is to protect the HRVCON and other international advisers under the responsibility of the TAAC-N, which is among the most demanding missions in Afghanistan.
In addition to force protection the Platoon is also assigned with patrolling outside the Camp Marmal and camp securing. Their daily routine in harsh weather conditions in Afghanistan, using the required protective equipment calls for high physical preparedness and trainedness. Each task requires thorough preparation, including the analysis of all details and simulation of all possible situations.
During their service the members of the Force Protection Platoon have received commendations from the key TAAC-N personnel and the Commander of the B Platoon Multinational Force Protection Group Task Force – MN FP COY) for their professionalism and commitment .
