Rotation of Navy officers in “Atalanta” operation
A member of the Croatian Navy, Lieutenant Commander Zoran Medvidović was sent to the European Union international military operation “EU NAVFOR-ATALANTA SOMALIA” on the duty of operations analyst at the Operational Headquarters in Northwood in the UK.
Lieutenant Commander Medvidović is the 15th Croatian Navy officer who participates in the international military operation Atalanta, and will replace Lieutenant Commander Ivica Pavić who filled this post since February 2012.
Lieutenant Commander Zoran Medvidović was born on 30 September 1971 in Split. He has a master’s degree from the Maritime Faculty in Split. He completed basic and advanced officer training in the Navy College “Petar Krešimir IV”.
He has been a member of the Croatian Armed Forces since 1992 and was active participant in the Homeland War. During the service he held a number of duties on the ships of the Croatian Navy, inter alia, he was commander of the missile gunboat “King Petar Krešimir IV”.
