4th HRVCON returns from Resolute Support
The 4th HRVCON to “Resolute Support” mission returned from Afghanistan on 12 September 2016 – the members of the Croatian Armed Forces alongside the members of the armed forces of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Macedonia.
The homecoming in the Barracks “Pukovnik Marko Živković“ at Pleso was attended by the Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, Genera Mirko Šundov, the Commander of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence, Brigadier General Miroslav Kovač, the Commander of the Operations Centre of the General Staff, Brigadier General Krešo Tuškan, the Commaner of te Guards Armoured Mechanised Brigade, Brigadier General Denis Tretinjak , a number of members of the Croatian Armed Forces and the families of the Contingent members.
The Contingent Commander, Colonel Mato Matanović reported to the Chief of the General Staff of the General Staff and expressed his pride over the professional performance of the Contingent members.
General Šundov appreciated the successful and exemplary service in the operation „“Your contribution, builidng on the contribution of the previous contingents is valuable as all have assisted the Afghanistan National Security Force develop their capabilities necesary to assume full responsibility for the security of their countrry . Our engagement in Afghanistan proves the Croatian Armed Forces to belong to the community of professional and well-trained militaries, always in support to the Croatian citizens, allies and partners alike“.
