Defence Minister visits the Support Command
The Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Damir Krstičević, accompanied by assistant ministers and the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Drago Matanović and other senior officers, on 9 November 2016 visited the Support Command of the Croatian Armed Forces.
The Minister was welcomed by the members of the General Logistic Support Battalion lined-up in the “Croatia“ Barracks in Zagreb, and the Commander, Major General Mladen Fuzul, who delivered a presentation on the organisation, the tasks and the situation in the Command. The Minister visited the Operations Centre and other working and living facilities and talked to the members of the Support Command.
Minister Krstičević expressed satisfaction over his first working visit, and said that the Support Command was his choice, in view of the wide range of the tasks carried out by the unit, “You are the engine of the Croatian Armed Forces, and I count on your readiness and capability to exercise any assignment. Your professionalism is decisive. Along with the respect for the values of the Homeland War, patriotism is today proved through hard work, endeavour, excellence, learning, solidarity and respect of law “.
The Minister underlined the human potential (enlisted soldiers, NCOs and officers) as priority, and their working and living conditions too. Expressing his honour and pride over being the Defence Minister, he appealed to all to remain responsible and committed to the completion of the prospective processes and tasks“.
