Blessing ceremony held at the Ministry of Defence and the CAF General Staff
The birth of Jesus is the centre of our Christian spirituality and that is why it is necessary to experience Christmas deep in our hearts, not only at Christmas time, but throughout the whole year, said Monsignor Jure Bogdan
The blessing ceremony of the Croatian Ministry of Defence and the CAF General Staff was held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 in the lobby of the Ministry of Defence, and it was led by Military Ordinary in the Republic of Croatia Monsignor Jure Bogdan.
The blessing ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Ivan Anušić, Chief of the CAF General Staff Admiral Robert Hranj, state secretaries, directorate heads, employees of the Ministry of Defence and the CAF General Staff.
Military Ordinary Monsignor Bogdan wished all employees of the Ministry of Defence and members of the Croatian Armed Forces at home and abroad, especially those who are participating in missions and operations, a merry and blessed Christmas and a successful New Year, telling them that it is necessary to always look for the best in every human because that is exactly the main purpose of Christmas.
“God became man. Let us turn to the manger and strive for the humility and modesty that he taught us. The birth of Jesus is the centre of our Christian spirituality, we need to experience Christmas deep in our hearts, not only at Christmas time, but also throughout the whole year in all our jobs, obligations and duties,” said Monsignor Jure Bogdan, inviting them to cooperation and unity in a business and spiritual sense.
The blessing ceremony of the Ministry of Defence and the CAF General Staff is traditionally held every year at Christmas time.
