Donation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Ministry of Defence

MOD State Secretary Zeljko Gorsic and Military Attaché of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Croatia Lieutenant Colonel Frederick Jan Besselink signed on Tuesday, June 21, in the Defence Ministry, the Protocol on donation between the Republic of Croatia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands that provides funds in the amount of 40,000 kuna for the military and diplomatic training at the Croatian Military Academy “Petar Zrinski”.

State Secretary Gorsic expressed his gratitude for donation and thanked the Dutch military attaché for contributions made to the development and improvement of bilateral relations. “Your personal contribution is primarily related to a respectable donation of funds for various development projects in the Defence Ministry and Armed Forces of which I would particularly pointed out renovation of conference hall in the Centre for Security Cooperation (RACVIAC), for military and diplomatic school, as well as for assisting various aspects of CAF education”, MOD Secretary of State Gorsic said.

Dutch military attaché, Colonel Besselink who this week completes his mandate in Croatia, thanked for the overall cooperation with the MOD and the Armed Forces, emphasizing his pleasure that this donation would contribute to the further development of military training, as well as donations to the Centre for Security Cooperation in Rakitje, as an example of institution for the promotion of regional dialogue and cooperation.
