Defence Minister Congratulates 470 Class Bronze Winners
Defence Minister Ante Kotromanović congratulated today 17 June 2013 Šime Fantela and Igor Marenić, the bronze medalists at the European 470 Class Championship held in Formia, Italy from 10-15 June.
“Dear Šime and Igor, on behalf of all members of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Croatia and on my personal behalf, I am extending the congratulations to you for winning the bronze medal at the European 470 Class Championship, proving at the top international level your value and the value of the sailing in Croatia. The medal is your fourth European medal in a row, and therefore occupies a special place in your fruitful sport career.
We are proud that you belong to the big family of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia too and wish you more great successes in the time to come”.
Šime Fantela and Igor Marenić have been members of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia since March 2011, pursuant to the Agreement on Co-operation, Promotion and Development of Sport in the Republic of Croatia, signed between the Croatian Ministry of Defence and the Croatian Olympic Committee in October 2010.
