Croatian Air Force helicopter transports infant from Dubrovnik
Upon the request from the Dubrovnik County unit of the National Search and Rescue Directorate, the Transport Helicopter Squadron of the 93rd Croatian Air Force and Air Defence Base on Friday 14 February 2014 conducted an emergency medical flight on a Mi-8MTV to transport a prematurely born infant from Dubrovnik to the Split University Hospital Centre.
Flying under difficult weather conditions the crew, composed of the Commander, Maj. Roland Rajić, the co-pilot 1st Lt. Mate Strkalj and flight technicians – SFC Mate Labrovic and St. Sgt. Josip Sovulj, safely transported the infant to Split.
This has been the second emergency infant transportation on board of the Mi-8MTV helicopter in 2014.
