NATO Medals Parade in 22nd HRVCON
The Camp “Marmal” near Mazar-e-Sharif in North Afghanistan on 28 February 2014 hosted the NATO Medal Parade for the members of the 22 HRVCON, along with the award of the Multiple Tour Certificate and the Commendation by the Contingent Commander
Among the invitees were the senior representatives of teh ISAF Regional Command North, Deputy Commander RC North, Brig.Gen. Craig Timberlake, the Camp Marmal Commander, Brig. Gen. Olaf von Roeder and the representatives of the partner countries of the Regional Command North.
The Commander of the 22nd HRVCON ISAF emphasised that the Croatian Contingent gave an important contribution to the security in Aghanistan, assisting the Afghan Security Forces at all levels build national institutions and providing support to the citizens of Afghanistan, for which the Croatian participants repetedly received commendations.
The Commander also recalled the merit of the members of the preceeding Contingents to ISAF. The overall sucessful performance of the Croatian Contingents in the Operation ISAF has also been a testimony of the capabilities of the Croatian Armed Forces.
The Medal Parade was concluded by the address by Brig. Gen. Timberlake, who extended his appreciation to the members of the Croatian Contingent for their wholehearted contribution to the common coal of the ISAF- stability, trust building and assistance to the people of Afghanistan, after serving their country valorously during the Homeland War.
