RACVIAC Aerial Observation Course completed
The practice flight peformed at the 91st Croatian Air Force and Air Defence Base near Zagreb on 5 March 2014 marked the end of the Aerial Observation Course, conducted by the Centre for Security Co-operation within the Open Skies Treaty
The Course, commenced on 24 February 2014 and attended by 18 members from different countries, is a joint project of the Centre and the Ministry of Defence of Hungary, and has been sponsored by Canada and the Federal Republic of Germany.
The Centre (RACVIAC) has been organising courses on the Treaty „Open Skies“ since 2002, with the aim to provide training for the personnel from South-East Europe on planning, organising and implementing of the Air Observation Mission, in compliance with the provisions of the Open Skies Agreement. The participants were military personnel and members of verification agencies engaged in the implementation of the Open Skies Treaty (OST), and the lecturers were representatives of national governments, armament control agencies and verification centres from Canada, Croatia, Federal Republic of Germany and Hungary.
