Second Radio Show aired from Zemunik Base

The Zadar Radio Station broadcast its second monthly show from the 93rd Croatian Air Force and Air Defence Base at Zemunik near Zadar on 16 April 2014. The show is titled «101,8 FT” (101,8 FITA)», which denotes the radio frequency and the altitude indication used in flying.

The second show was aired from the customary location – the Base apron, in front of the Canadair CL -415CL signalling the firefighting season 2014 as its focus, presented by the Commander of the General Staff’s Operations Centre, Brigadier General Ivan Jurić.
Brig. Gen. Jurić expressed satisfaction of the state of preparations for the season, upon inspecting the units of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence and the Croatian Navy engaged in firefighting. “We are ready for the forthcoming firefighting season, and are conducting technical preparations to make all capacities available to the firefighting community. The Croatian Armed Forces maintain fire safety measures throughout the year, and our crews have participated in four interventions since the beginning of the year”, said Brig. Gen. Jurić, who also emphasissed that Croatian Armed Forces had put in place superbly trained crews, operating in highly demanding situations, and announced the participation of the Firefighting Squadron at the international exercise to be held in Greece, where its members were to exchange experiences, tactics and procedures aimed at synchronised joint operation and upgrading the firefighting efficiency.
The show presented Sergeant Ivica Dundović, CIS maintenance NCO of the 93rd Base’s Hq Company and a Glagolitic chant enthousiast in his spare time; and Zlatko Dragoje, postal and records administrator and hobby  bee-keeper and hunter.
The second show was co-anchored again by 1st. Lt. Antonija Mutabdžija, a Bell-206 B helicopter pilot, who announced the next show scheduled in May dedicated to the Croatian Armed Forces Day.
