Deputy Defence Minister receives Lemhannas delegation

Croatian Deputy Defence Minister, Višnja Tafra, on 1 September received the delegation of the Lemhannas National Defence Institute from Indonesia.

The Indonesian visitors were familiarised with the defence system and security policy of the Republic of Croatia, and discussed with the host delegation the prospects for defence co-operation between Croatia and Indonesia, primarily in the field of education.
Having welcomed the head of the delegation, Mr Kisnu Haryo, Deputy Minister Tafra stressed the importance of Croatia’s membership in NATO, the EU and the United Nations and expressed the desire to see the two countries develop military technical and military education co-operation.
“Our policy is to develop good relations with the countries sharing the same values through bilateral co-operation programmes, and our intention is also to nurture amicable relations with the Republic of Indonesia”, stated Ms Tafra.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Croatia, H. E. Agus Sardjana praised the developing co-operation between the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Indonesia, and announced opening of economic and defence co-operation in the future.
