Deputy Chief of the General Staff duty handover

 “The incoming Deputy Chief is an outstanding senior officer educated in Croatia and abroad, and the sole   Croatian officer to have commanded a UN mission. Along with a respectable peace mission experience, he has been a superior commander of the Croatian Army“ said the Chief of the General Staff, General Lovrić. General Lovrić also highlighted the enviable  military career of Vice admiral Ante Urlić, who exercised a series of commanding duties in the Croatian Navy, among whom the Naval Sector – South Adriatic-Ploče, the Chief of Staff and the Commander of the Croatian Navy.
In his departing address Vice admiral Urlić stressed the honour of being the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, and explained that “the three principles of the successful military career included vision, expertise and focus on the personnel“.
Lieutenant General Dragutin Repinc appreciated the trust placed in him and also appreciated the achievement of his predecessor. He expressed the hope of continuing the co-operation with him to the benefit of the Armed Forces. 
Lieutenant General Dragutin Repinc was born in Zagreb in 1959; He graduated from the Army Academy, and subsequently exercised a number of commanding duties, including the Officer School of the Croatian Army, Chief of Staff of the Croatian Army Command,  Head of the Operational Planning Department of the Operations Division of the General Staff and Head of the Planning Division of the General Staff respectively. Prior to receiving the duty of the Deputy Chief of Staff he was Commander of the Croatian Army. He is holder of the Order of Viceroy Jelačić, the Order of Duke Branimir, the Order of Croatian Trefoil and the Three-strand Pattern, as well as the Operation “Storm“ Medal and a number of commendations for his contribution to the development of the Croatian Armed Forces.
