Infant rescued from Korčula by Croatian military helicopter

The crew of the Transport Helicopter Squadron on 10 October 2014 conducted an emergency flight transporting a one-year infant, accompanied by his mother, from the island of Korčula to the University Hospital Centre in Split.

The call-out was requested by the Dubrovnik unit of the National Search and Rescue Directorate and enabled timely medical care for the infant at the Centre. 
By 10 October the crews of the 93rd Croatian Air Force and Air Defence base have performed a total of 1068 flights in 365 call-outs, rescuing 411 patients and transporting over 800 accompanying persons (stand-by medical teams, family members, members of the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service and the like).
