“ŠTIT 15” EXE Initial Planning Conference

The Initial Planning Conference for the “ŠTIT 15” Exercise, held in the “Zemunik” Barracks on 27 and 28 October 2014, was attended by representatives of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, of the Croatian services commands and units and representatives of the Slovenian Armed Forces.

The Exercise “ŠTIT 15” is an inter-service aerial live firing exercise engaging the Croatian Army’s air defence units(notably the Air Defence Regiment of the Training and Doctrine Command, and the Air Defence Battalions of the Guards Mechanised and Motorised Brigades), supported by the Air Force and Air Defence, the Navy and the Support Command elements from the Croatian side and the members of the Logistic Brigade and of the 72nd and 1st Brigade of the Slovenian side respectively,  is planned to take place in the „Rt Kamenjak“ Training Range near Pula in April 2015.
The Initial Planning Conference featured workshops reviewing the respective functional areas and building on the lessons learned from the previous exercises, and was focused on preparation for operation in an international environment.
