93rd Air Base’s Transport Helicopter Squadron 23rd anniversary marked

The Transport Helicopter Squadron of the 93rd Croatian Air Force and Air Defence Base marked its Day and the 23rd anniversary in the Knez Trpimir Barracks in Divulje on 7 November.

Congratulating the anniversary to its members, the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Miroslav Kovač, stressed the missions conducted in assistance to the civilian community and contributing to the development of the Croatian Armed Forces as the Squadron’s best „identity card“. 
The Squadron Commander, Captain Ante Siniša Kozina extended congratulations to the members in his turn and appreciated their professionalism and responsibility.
The Squadron enjoys public recognition and respect as a unit engaged in humanitarian missions, conducting numerous medical flights, and search-and-rescue tasks earning the Squadron the prestigious prize as “Pride of Croatia“.

To date in 2014, the flight members have logged 1152 flying hours, transporting 4300 persons and over 620 tons of cargo, of which 700 hours spent performing medical flights, search and rescue and firefighting callouts. 

The Squadronis also engaged in training activities with other Croatian Armed Forces units and with the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service. Presently ongoing is the pre-deployment training of the 17 HRVCON to KFOR.
