Minister Kotromanović meets with Defence Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Croatian Defence Minister, Ante Kotromanović on 21 April 2015 received in visit the delegation of the Ministry of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina, headed by the Minister, Mrs Marina Pendeš.

The two delegations confirmed substantial bilateral co-operation and signed the Bilateral Co-operation Plan.
Minister Kotromanović congratulated the visiting Minister on her appointment and expressed satisfaction over her visit to Croatia shortly after assuming the duty.
Minister Kotromanović also welcomed the announced Stablisation and Accession Agreement for Bosnia and Herzegovina and pledged continued support from Croatia on its path to Euro-Atlantic integration. 
Minister Pendeš extended appreciation to the Croatian Ministry for the support as an important component of bilateral relations, which Minister Pendeš qualified as excellent.
The ministers discussed the importance of regional co-operation in Southeast Europe, with the emphasis on Adriatic Charter as the powerful framework for multinational co-operation assisting the member countries in their efforts towards Euro-Atlantic integration. Minister Kotromanović expressed the conviction in continued fruitful co-operation within the A-5 chaired by Bosnia and Herzegovina  and commended the participation of the members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Resolute Support within the Croatian contingent. 
The two sides underlined the sucessful co-operation in education, with as many as 14 members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina attending a variety of courses in Croatia, including the Croatian Armed Forces’ War School.
Minister Kotromanović mentioned two cadets from Bosnia and Herzegovina attending the new study programmes in the Croatian Defence Academy, and added that Croatia invited Bosnia and Herzegovina to continue to send candidates, cadets and other members alike, for military education and training in Croatia in the next academic years.
Also addressed was the co-operation of the members of the respective armed forces in the event of natural disasters, and Minister Pendeš expressed appreciation for the assistance provided by the Croatian forces  during the last year’s devastating floods and fires in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will also visit the Adriatic Sea Defense and Aeronautic Exhibition (ASDA 2015) set in Split, Croatia.
