CAOC Commander visits Croatian Air Force and Air Defence
The Commander of the NATO Combined Air Operation Center ( CAOC), located in Torrejon, Spain, Major General Ruben Carlos Garcia Serverta visited the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence Command and the 91st Air Base.
Major General Garcia Serventa met with the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence Commander, Major General Dražen Ščuri and the Deputy Commander of the Air Space Surveillance and Control Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Dražen Kardoš, with whom he discussed the future development of the air space protection capability. The CAOC Commander was briefed on the capabilities of the declared forces of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence, the properties of the air guard pair on duty in the Base, the operation of the Air Space Surveillance and Control Battalion members in the Air Space Surveillance Centre.
Major General Serverta expressed satifaction over the visit and offered training opportunities at CAOC for the members of the Battalion, and the respective NATO certificates issued at their completion.
