“MiR 16/2” EX proves readiness of 5th HRVCON to RS
The international military exercise “Mir 16/2“ was concluded in the “Eugen Kvaternik” Training Range on 14 July 2016; it was preceded by an integrated training from 27 June 2016 – 11 July 2016, entailing the final evaluation of the 5th HRVCON to Resolute Support.
The Commander of the 5th HRVCON to Resolute Support, Colonel Dražen Sebastijan stated that the main exercise authority was the Guards Motorised Brigade of the Croatian Army and that all the evaluation comprised all components of the 5th HRVCON.
The Evaluator Team of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, headed by Colonel Mijo Kožić, ascertained that rhe Contingent was ready and duly trained for the deployment in Afghanistan.
The 5th HRVCON(90 members) will be augmented by the members of the armed forces of the A5 nations who also took part in the Exercise – 17 members of the Army of Montenegro, six members of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia, two members of the Albanian Armed Forces and two of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina respectively.
