Charity donation by the best student of the Command and Staff School
The Commander of the Croatian Defence Academy “Dr. Franjo Tuđman”, Lieutenant General Slavko Barić and the best student of the 25th generation of the Command and Staff School “Blago Zadro”, Captain Marijan Žukina on 23 August 2017 visited Vukovar and were welcomed by the Deputy Mayor, Marijan Pavliček. Captain Žukina donated the sum of 5, 000 kuna to the family of a deceased Croatian defender.
As the best student of the generation Captain Žukina was awarded the plaque of Vukovar and a monetary award in the amount of 5,000 kuna, presented by the Mayor of Vukovar Ivan Penava during the graduation ceremony of the Croatian Defence Academy held in Vukovar in June.
Captain Žukina donated his award for charity, to the family of Gordana Šibalić, the daughter of a deceased Croatian defender and a mother of five who also fostered two more children.
Captain Žukina is a member of the Artillery and Missile Battalion (headquartered in Bjelovar) of the Guards Armoured Mechanised Brigade of the Croatian Army.
