13th CAF Championship in winter sports
The 13th CAF Championship in patrol skiing, giant slalom and cross country skiing, which has been organized by the Special Operations Battalion (BSD) began on 1 March 2011 in the “Drgomalj” Barracks in Delnice.
Besides members of the Special Operations Battalion, members of the Navy, the Support Command, the Military Intelligence Battalion, GMTBR, Personnel Management Centre, HVU, ZOD and others participate on the championship.
The championship was opened by the representative of the Chief of General Staff, Commander of the BSD Colonel Nikola Zupanic, who in his address pointed out that this competition was an opportunity for contestants to show their strength, endurance, speed and skill in winter sports.
Championship began by competition in cross country skiing, and the best results in all categories (up to 35 years, 36-42 years, over 42 years and the category of women) were achieved by members of the Special Operations Battalion.
