Ambassador to Slovenia delivered decorations to Slovenian officers

Croatian Ambassador to the Republic of Slovenia Svjetlan Berkovic delivered today, 11 March 2011, in the Croatian Embassy in Ljubljana, the decorations to Slovenian officers, Brigadier General Bojan Suligoj and Colonel Zlatko Vehovar.

By the decision of the Croatian President Ivo Josipovic, Slovenian officers have been awarded with the Order of Croatian Trefoil for outstanding merits in the development of military cooperation between Croatia and Slovenia during their assigements as the military attachés of the Republic of Slovenia to Croatia.

On behalf of the Ministry of Defence, the delivery ceremony was attended by the Head of the MOD International Military Cooperation Davor Cutic, and on behalf of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia State Secretary Boris Balant, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Slovenian Armed Forces Admiral Renato Petric, Director General of Intelligence and Security Service Damir Crncec, Chief Director of the Global Issues and Political Multilateral of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia Andrej Benedejcic and Head of the Sector for the Enlargement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia Robert Krmelj.

In their addresses, they all highlighted the successful bilateral military cooperation, and overall positive development of the Croatian-Slovenian relations.
