Night flight training completed

Pilots of 93rd Airbase Helicopter Squadron completed today, May 27, in “Zemunik” barracks, their training for night flying with NVG (Night Vision Goggles) on Bell 206 B helicopters. Technicians also completed training of maintenance equipment for night operations.

This is the continuation of training which began in March 2010, carried out back then by the U.S. instructors, and is the part of a systematic training of helicopter crews to fly at night with NVG.

The training cycle included the basic and advanced training lasting five weeks, led by Croatian pilots with the theoretical, technical and experiential support of the U.S. instructors. Trained pilots have been awarded with licenses and acquired the title of instructors, and are capable of independently conducting training with other pilots.
