Opening of “Immediate Response 11” international exercise

The opening of international military exercise “Immediate Response 11” on 7 June 2011, in “Petar Zrinski” barracks, in Zagreb was attended by representatives of all countries participating in the exercise (Croatia, the United States, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia).

In their addresses to the audience, the exercise director, commander of the engineer regiment of the Training and doctrine Command of the Army Colonel Robert Suntesic and commander of 209th Liaison Team from the U.S. Land Forces Command in Europe, Colonel Ardis Ferguson pointed out that besides the exchange of experiences and lessons learned and improving the capabilities to participate in ISAF mission, which are some of the main goals of the exercise, it was important to develop and build friendship among nations.
After the opening, participants of the exercise began with the joint training which has been taking place in Simulation Centre.
