Art Ensemble of the Polish Armed Forces in the “Zvonimir” officer’s club
Organized by the Polish Embassy in Zagreb, under the auspices of the Croatian Defence Ministry, on Wednesday, 8 June 2011, in the “Zvonimir” Officer’s club, a concert of the Art Ensemble of the Polish Armed Forces was held.
The concert was attended by State Secretary of Ministry of Defence Pjer Simunovic, the Polish Ambassador to Croatia Wieslaw Tarka, the Polish military attaché to Croatia Krzysztof Kaliszewski and numerous other guests and dignitaries.
When addressing the audience, Wieslaw Tarka, recalled the long tradition of cooperation and friendship between Poland and Croatia, and expressed satisfaction that the cooperation between the two countries would soon continue within the European Union.
Art Ensemble of the Polish army, whose chief executive and artistic director is Adam Martin, operates more than 60 years, has so far issued 42 CDs, and the aim of this group is the fostering of national traditions and glory of the Polish army, both through music and through dance and songs as the primary means of artistic expression.
