Premiere of documentary film about the first Croatian MiGs
A documentary film of the Croatian television called “Uvuceno-neutralno-konus”, which was directed by Ivica Dlesk, and writer and editor was Vladimir Brnardic, had its premiere in the CAF Officer’s Club “Zvonimir” in Zagreb, on Monday, 20 June 2011.
The main actors of this film are the pilots, Colonel Ivan Selak and colonels Daniel Borovic and Ivica Ivandic – members of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence, who in the early nineties, during the aggression on Croatia, escaped from the then Yugoslav Army and together with the aircraft put at the disposal of the Croatian Armed Forces.
Welcoming the assembled guests, a team of authors of the film and thanking to the pilots who have contributed by their memories to creating of the film, Commander of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence, Brigadier General Drazen Scuri said: “Our armed forces are proud of their heroes, those who died for their homeland live in our memories, but also we are proud of our colleagues who still contribute to the development of armed forces. Even today we still have modest and hardworking individuals who have written in golden letters the most beautiful pages of our history”.
Documentary film about the first Croatian MiG-21 will be shown on the occasion of Statehood Day, on Saturday, 25 June 2011, at 20:10 hours on the first channel of the Croatian television.
