6th generation of voluntary conscripts completed training

Upon the completion of basic training a ceremony at which delivery of awards for the voluntary conscripts who achieved the best results in sports competitions and for best results achieved in tests of physical skills has been held.

Best voluntary conscript of the 6th generation was soldier Sasa Mandic who was awarded with the badge of the best conscript.

The commander of the Centre for Basic Training Col. Robert Krncevic congratulated voluntary conscripts on the successful completion of training, and wished them every success in their lives and work.

299 conscripts, including 31 women of the sixth generation, which started the voluntary military service on 29 April 2011, passed training.

Through six generations of voluntary military service, training program was ended by 1486 voluntary conscripts, of whom 1314 men and 172 women. MOD till now signed a contract with 786 voluntary conscripts, of which 707 for the training of professional soldiers and 79 for the training of officers. It is expected that this year under the Plan to obtain active military personnel in 2011, Ministry of Defence will sign contract on the active military duty with voluntary conscripts from 5th and 6th generations.
