Farewell-inaugural visit of Ukrainian military attaches

The former Military Attaché of Ukraine to the Republic of Croatia Colonel Andry Miroshnychenko and his newly appointed successor, Colonel Peter Bobyr visited the Ministry of Defence, on Thursday, 3 August 2011.

Military attaches were received by the Director of the MOD Defence Policy Directorate Dragan Lozancic who on this occasion thanked Colonel Miroshnychenko on his efforts during his term when the bilateral cooperation between the two ministries reached a high level.

Also, the Ukrainian military representatives in the General Staff of the Armed Forces were received by the Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Slavko Baric. At the meeting they discussed the previous quality cooperation between the two countries, the experiences of participation in peacekeeping operations and the participation of Croatian and Ukrainian navies in Atalanta and Active Endeavour operations. The excellent cooperation in the field of education was also highlighted. Thus so far four Ukrainian military officers completed training in Croatia, and two the military-diplomatic school in the Croatian Military Academy. At the end of the meeting, General Baric expressed his believe that by the arrival of newly appointed Colonel Bobyr good cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries would continue to develop.
