Course for navigators on Gakovo military training ground

Instructors of Infantry Regiment and the course leader Lt. Mato Troha conducted a course for navigators on Gakovo military training ground from 7 to 16 November 2011.

The course participants were members of MN CS OMLT, who have been preparing to leave for peace support mission in Afghanistan. During the ceremony upon the completion of the course, Colonel Radoslav Ravlic, Command of Infantry Regiment awarded certificates for successful completion of the course.
The purpose of the course is to train students to work on GPS devices and introduce them with work on UTM projection maps. During the training participants plan the route of movement of infantry and motorized columns after which they have practical training. The training requires physical preparation of students since they march over ten kilometres.

The course leader Lt. Troha has expressed satisfaction with the work and dedication of participants in the implementation of the course.
