Open days of Croatian Air Force and Air Defence

Upon the 20th anniversary of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence, on Thursday, December 8, and Friday, December 9, open days were held at air bases of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence.

Aircraft assets used in the Homeland war and aircraft used nowadays by Croatian military pilots (ZLIN 242 L, Pilatus PC-9M, Bell 206 B Jet Ranger III, Airtractor AT 802 AF , Canadair CL 415) were exhibited in the 93rd Air Force Base. The most attractive part was the performance of aerobatic flight-group “Wings of Storm”, and school students had special education from the history of the Homeland war.

In the 91st Air Force Base visitors had the opportunity to see aircraft based in this Base, and tour planes and helicopters from the 93rd Air Force Base.

Citizens also had chance to get acquainted with aviation-technical maintenance. All gathered could enjoy the presentation of regular flying activities of Zlin-242L, PC-9M, MiG-21 and An-32B aircraft, and Bell 206B and Mi-171Sh helicopter who after takeoff performed standard training flight activities.
