Primary school students congratulated Christmas holidays to Croatian soldiers in Afghanistan

Students of the 4th D class of “Dobrisa Cesaric” primary school from Pozega visited on Friday, 16 December 2011, “Barracks of 123rd Brigade” in Pozega and presented a package full of Christmas and New Year greeting cards made for members of the 18th Croatian contingent who have been deployed in the ISAF mission. Congratulations that they made themselves were sent the same day to Afghanistan.

Upon the arrival to the “Barracks of the 123rd Brigade” primary school students attended the raising of flag and the morning line-up. Afterwards they visited the chapel, a memorial room, gym and a Centre for basic training.

Members of the 18th Croatian contingent deployed in ISAF were surprised and delighted with the attention of elementary school student, who with this wonderful gesture embellished Christmas for them. Enthusiasm was all the stronger as each greeting card was hand-made, with a lot of effort and attention of small primary school students. On one of the cards read: “Dear Soldier, I wish you Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, a quick return to your family, to your home and Homeland.”
