Live fire exercise of Rocket Artillery Battalion

Platoon of SVLR (self-propelled multiple rocket launchers) from the Rocket Artillery Battalion of the Guards Motorised Brigade (GMTBR) conducted today, April 20, on the military training area Eugen Kvaternik near Slunj, live fire shooting from the GRAD 122-mm BM-21.

Three objectives were shot at. Goals were at a distance from 9.5 to 12 kilometres.

During firing, the channel of fire support was used which is consistent with the accepted Croatian military norms. Fire support channel is made from forward observer teams, fire control centre and fire units. The shooting had been attended Colonel Tihomir Kundid, Chief of Staff of GMTBR, Major Ante Lovrić, fire support officer from the S3 Department of GMTBR, firing commander was First Lieutenant Zdravko Jakovac, deputy commander of the Rocket Artillery Battalion, which is located on the military installation Eugene Kvaternik.
