21st Anniversary of 4th Guards Brigade

The ceremony was attended by Minister of Defence, Ante Kotromanović, Veterans Minister Predrag Matić,  representative of the President Josipović, Brigadier General Mladen Fuzul, representatives of the city, county associations and former and current members of the Brigade, families of killed or missing , many guests and friends.

The central program began by laying wreaths at the memorial chapel of the Holy Cross on Dračevac, followed by a service on Sustipan.

“This brigade entered only the best, the bravest and strongest fighters, the elite warriors, and I want to thank you today for all the battles led and all the victories you won”, said Minister Kotromanović, also once member of the 4^th Guards Brigade. Congratulating members of the 4^th Guards Brigade their anniversary, Minister Kotromanović also congratulated members of the 3^rd Guards Brigade “Kuna”, who also mark the 21^st anniversary.

Representative of the President Josipović, Brigadier General Mladen Fuzul, recalled that during the Homeland War, wherever red berets of “Spiders” appeared, they created a sense of security and brought faith in victory even when it was the most difficult. Predrag Matić, Minister of Veterans congratulated members of the 4^th Guards Brigade their anniversary and said: “You were, are and continue to be the pride of the city of Split, Dalmatia and Croatia”.
