Armed Forces Day celebrated in the ISAF
Members of 19th Croatian contingent in the ISAF operation in Afghanistan, marked on Monday 28 May 2012, in Kabul and Marmal, the Day of the Croatian Armed Forces and of the Croatian Army.
Addressing the present in Marmal Camp in northern Afghanistan, where is the largest number of members of the contingent, the commander of 19th HRVCON Colonel Tomislav Galić said it was not small thing to be a member of the CAF in ISAF. “You are Croatia and you represent it as before, in the best possible light. Let our friends who gave their lives be a role model of how to fight, how to live for Croatian interests”, Colonel Galić said.
During the ceremony, promoted members of the 19th Contingent were handed over extracts from the decision.
Military chaplain Alojz Kovaček served Holly Mass in Camp Marmal for all the fallen Croatian soldiers.
