Navy crew won third place in the 7th Šolta regatta
Croatian Navy crew took part in the the traditional 7th Šolta race on 29 and 30 September 2012, and after a successful struggle with the wind and the calm sea in two days of sailing on the school boat Salona 37 “Katarina Zrinska”, won the prestigious 3rd place in its group with over 50 boats that participated in the event.
The crew was made up of the Navy officers: Commander Neven Katić (skipper), Navy Captain Hrvoje Vlahov, Colonel Davor Kartelo, Major Ante Darijo Mišura, Captain Josip Novak, Ensign Marina Mandić and Ensign Ana Masnov. This crew proudly represent the Navy and the Croatian Armed Forces in various regattas, whose season is in full swing, and the next performance is expected on Saturday, October 6, when the oldest and most attended race on the Adriatic coast is scheduled – 81st Mrdujska regatta which route is from Split to Mrduja Island and back with a total length of 22 nautical miles.
