Navy Commander on traditional cutter rowing regatta

The final race of the traditional cutter rowing regatta, to mark the feast of St. Nicholas the Bishop, patron saint of sailors, was held today, 11 December 2012, in the Lora Naval Base in Split.

The competition in cutter rowing regatta was held in the Kaštela Bay on the 800 meters long track.
Units of the Croatian Navy attended the competition, and in the first race in the Navy Command crew, which won the crew of the Coast Guard, was also the Navy Commander Rear Admiral Robert Hranj.

The winner of this traditional regatta in the final race was crew from the Navy Flotilla, which left Navy Training Center crew behind. Third place was taken by the crew of the Lora Naval Base, and fourth place went to the Navy Command. The crew of the Coast Guard finished fifth, and sixth place went to Battalion of the Coastal Monitoring and Surveillance.

Upon completion of the competition, the Croatian Navy Commander, Rear Admiral Robert Hranj, congratulated all participants and handed awards to crews.
